I WANT TO LIVE TO SEE THESE

These are some random shots taken by myself.. I enjoy taking shots like these.. Why you ask? I'm not sure myself. Maybe because of its certain 'quality' that caught my attention most of the time and make me feel at peace from all the shit I've been through. These shots were captured somewhere in the year 2008 and 2009 respectively using my previous B.Mobile phone, 1.3 megapixel I think, and my Canon digital camera..

taken at Long Banyok's football field

taken in December 2009, 2 days before Christmas at Long Banyok longhouse

taken in December 2009 at jalan Bakong Sarawak while on our way to Long Banyok

taken in 2008 at school.. the view interrupted a conversation I had with my mate about some shit while we were on our way to the bus stand

picture of Halim Plaza, taken one evening in 2009 after a game of football with my brothers.. wait! is that a unicorn shaped cloud above the building?? 0.0'

BOYS OVER FLOWER

Kim So Eun as Chu Ga Eul

Kyo Hye Sun as Geum Jandi

Kim Bum as So Yi Jung

Lee Min Ho as Gu Junpyo

Kim Hyun Jong of SS501 as Yoon Ji Hoo

T-max's Kim Joon as Song Wubin

I just finished watching this Korean drama a few days back, yes all 25 episodes! My sister bought it last time and the seduction of Korean drama once again defeat me due to my over boredom this holiday *f#ck up jobless*. Well, find it was great to some extent although some parts of the drama I find it rather boring, you know how Korean dramas go, one shitty situation.. solve! Yet another shit lands in. Getting tired of that at times, seriously...

So basically I started of knowing the drama one day by 'coincidence' when I was bored sitting on my couch, shuffling a few TV channels here and there and bumped into one of its music video by T-Max, paradise, which is the opening soundtrack for the drama itself. And finally ended up watching the drama itself. ^^

The Drama was an adaptation from a Japanese manga called "Hana Yori Dango" and a third adaptation after the success in Taiwan and Japanese respectively. The drama was premiered in 5th of January 2009 and successfully ended its episodes in March 31st 2009 on KBS2TV.

Over all, my personal rating for this drama is an eight, despite of its 'Deja Vu' alike situation or other wise an excellent drama, a credit as well for their stunning actors and actress (consists of a band member from Tmax and SS501) and its catchy soundtracks, which honestly filled most of my music playlists!

I always wanted this...

Jerry Kamit

A sape player and his sape

This instrument here is called 'sape'. It's almost like a guitar only with less strings than the normal guitar *usually 3.. 2 or so* Chords are needless in order to play the sape. The instrument itself are traditionally the Kenyah's or the orang ulu's musical instrument and often accompanied with traditional dances of the respective tribes.

A little summary of sape, quoted from fascinatingmalaysia.com:

The sape is a masterpiece of woodcarving. The carver selects white wood with a smell that repels insects. The sape is carved with a parang (sword) to a length of about 1.2 metres.

The body is hollowed out with the same tools as those used for building boats. The carver is usually a musician, who places the strings and pegs and paints decorations.

.....................................................................................

My obsession with this rather unique musical instrument triggered when I first saw an Iban singer named Jerry Kamit, who uses this particular instrument in every song he has. Another reason is probably due to it's exotic and unique shape, compare to a normal guitar. Also to preserve our old traditions from fading in this modern days and introduce a piece of our culture to others who either have non or little idea of what sape is.

My search for my very own sape still on because it's a kind of rare to find one selling in your typical shops these days and with reducing numbers of expertise in sape making made it a bit harder to purchase one. But I'm going back to Long Banyok this 22nd and hoping that someone there has one that they wish to sell or better yet, to give away free *wink wink*

If I fell by The Beatles

My brother, Aldrin, found out this song first when he was shuffling through youtube searching for random Beatles videos and he accidentally clicked a link for this song.. It's a nice song, simple and slow, acoustically elements to it.. Basically a song sung by Lennon to symbolize a man who's still 'in doubt' with the name of love and learning to accept someone new which expressed through the lyrics below.. and the rest I leave it to you :D

Anyway the song is dedicate to that 'someone' * baca jangan nda dibaca ahh =p*

If I fell in love with you
Would you promise to be true
And help me understand
'cause I've been in love before
And I found that love was more
Than just holding hands

If I give my heart to you
I must be sure
From the very start
That you would love me more than her

If I trust in you, oh please
Don't run and hide
If I love you too, oh please
Don't hurt my pride like her
'cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two
cause I couldn't stand the pain
and I would be sad if our new love was in vain

so I hope you see that I
would love to love you
and that she will cry when she learns we are two

The Beatles

George Harrison, John Lennon, Ringo Star and Paul Mc Cartney

McCartney and Lennon side by side like they always do when they're rockin

The Beatles, an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960, who became one of the most commercially success in the history of music.. The band consists of four boys from Liverpool: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Star and George Harrison, who once rocked the world with their rock n roll tunes with their black tux, black ties and tidy haircuts.. With Lennon upfront plucking that guitar with Paul beside him with his bass, most of the time singing together, George with his mad guitar riffs and Ringo with the drums with a unique way of hitting the hi hats or thre cybals, you get the point when you see their videos, what more can you expect from them?!

Seriously, these guys ,to me, are legends, who rocked yesterday till now with most of their songs are covered by most bands and singers nowadays.. With this, I believe that the name "BEATLES" will live on till the future generations to come.. Even currently, young aged individuals knows the name the Beatles and even can sing along to "I want to hold your hand" song!!!

Sadly, after Lennon's death, the newer generations will have no chance to listen to new songs by this famous song writer, only left with his memories and his old famous piece of writings, who also wrote most of the songs during his years as a Beatle.

Despite the fact that the Beatles are not together anymore, with McCartney going solo and same goes to Ringo Star (also wrote the song Liverpool 8, regarding their times in the Beatles), still their legendary ,as I see it, song during the era of Beatles will always entertain us Beatles fans.. To this I give my highest respect to them and thank them for bringing an era and revolutionary change to the world of music who inspired most songwriters nowadays.. The Beatles will live on!!! :D

Usang 12

I really got bored lately so basically most of the time I spent is shuffling through my mp3s and one of the songs that really keep me into the 'high' kind of mode, if it even makes sense, is this... a song from our own local Bruneian band, D'Hask - Usang 12. The song was first introduced to me by two of my mates, thanks guys *thumbs up*. They also commented the song as 'membari high', which is a good thing anyway, when I first ask them about their views regarding the song itself. So now, after continously listening to the same song over and over again, can't seem to get sick of it, I admit that I'm addicted to listen to this song. Another reason is due to the fact that the lyrics itself reflects some story of my life *oh owhh here comes the drama haha*

For those of you who haven't had the chance to listen to it yet, I highly recommend you guys to listen to it on this website www.purevolume.com/dhask (courtesy of purevolume inc) and SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BAND such as D'Hask itself =)

D-Hask - Usang 12 lyric

Bersama mu, rela ku berikan jantung ku

Biarku luaskan nafsuku

Atas nama cinta ku beri

Tak terlintas di sanubari

Nadi tak berdegup lagi

Nafasku terhenti

Selagi kakiku berdiri

Takan lenguh Janji Di patri

Betapa pilu hati ini

Jauh disudut pintu hati

Berbisik sendiri, usang dan sepi

Aku tersingkir

Chorus :

Mungkin aku dicipta bukan hanya untuknya

Walaupun hakikatnya, Aku hanya arjuna

Bukan untuk di cinta oleh sang duyung

Yang hanya mampu berbicara

Verse

Andai aku, tidak diciptakan untuk mu

Lihat kan dirinya untuk ku

Agar aku bisa kunjungi, detik manis putra dan putri

Aku kan senyum dan pergi

Mengisi kekosongan hati

Back to Chorus :

Mid 8 :

Mungkin ku tidak pernah

Menyatakan padanya

Bahwasanya dirinya adalah yang pertama
(2x)

Andai masih tersisa

Cintamu untuk ku

Cintailah aku

Wahai dewa percinta

Panahkan lah hatinya

Pada Sang Anggun

Agarku mampu berbicara

Crows Zero II

from left: Ken, Izaki, Serizawa, Genji, Narumi, Mito, Tokio and Rindaman

left: Suzuran High. right: Housen

the picture from Crows Zero I

Genji beating the hell out of the Housens!!! *koraaaaaa!!!*

"koraaaa!!!!" finally!!! I’ve waited so long just to get my eyes to this badass movie, fuuh what pain in the ass though haha =p Anyway, for those of you who haven’t had the chance to watch the first movie, here’s a little summary of it:

Takiya Genji (Oguri Shun), a newcomer to Suzuran All-Boys High School who aims to 'conquer' Suzuran. Genji makes a deal with his father, Hideo Takitani. If he can conquer the school before his graduation, he will be allowed to succeed his father as the head of his yakuza syndicate. But first, he has to defeat Serizawa Tamao, the "King of Beasts" and leader of the Serizawa Army and not to mentioned, the closest to conquering Suzuran High.

Later, Genji were able to gain control of his own class which was formerly led by Chuta and from there onwards, he made alliance with other of his fellow ‘conquerors’, Makise and Izaki, who eventually led to him one step closer to his goal to conquer Suzuran High.

And the rest I leave it to you guys to watch, no spoilers thank you =p

On the second movie itself, which was released this April, it centers out the situation 8 months after what we can see from the first movie. Genji is close to graduation and yet still far away from conquering Suzuran due to a decisive loss towards Rindaman, one of the toughest lad in Suzuran High and rumors has it that he hospitalized more than 10 men as a freshmen alone.

In adding to that, Genji encountered another issue with another rival school, the Housen, led by the ferocious Taiga Narumi. The rival school itself caused a stir and chaos towards Suzuran which eventually caused more burden for Genji and his fellow comrades.

Well, this is all that I can state as a summary of the story and the rest is up to you peeps to find out. Personal ratings for both movies, 8.9/10 ^^,V

I ended my post with double thumbs up to Takashi Miike who produced one of the greatest movies that I’ve seen so far =D
